Girls Inc. is an organization devoted to inspiring girls across the country to be strong, smart, and bold in any situation or challenge they may face as they grow up and go through life. Additionally, there is a special emphasis on surrounding the girls with successful businesswomen and providing them with a talented mentor to model themselves after. Cheryl is on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc.’s Orange County chapter and the largest sponsor of the YESS program, which is a program designed to teach 8-10 year olds real business skills and how to become entrepreneurs.

Within Girls Inc. Casco participates in their Externship Program. This program assigns rising juniors to complete 80 hours of summer intern work at local businesses to help prepare them for college, today’s workforce, and identify career interests. This summer our extern was Mackenzie, a rising junior at JSerra Catholic High School. While at Casco, Mackenzie worked on her interviewing skills, practiced presentation techniques, and conducted research on our client’s and competitor’s marketing tactics. We enjoyed having Mackenzie help out and can’t wait for our next extern!
