PROJECT PROFILE
MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION
LOCATION: IRVINE, CA
.jpg)
Make-A-Wish Orange County & the Inland Empire creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. When they decided to relocate from their residential wish house location to a low-rise commercial building, it was Casco’s turn to grant a wish for this special non-profit. Ensuring their new
space remained as warm and comforting as their original wish house was of utmost importance to both the client and Casco.
Casco managed the relocation and worked closely with the CEO to design, build and furnish a magical space where children would feel welcomed to discuss their wish request with their wish granters. Features include a reception area, offices, large meeting room and a “blue brick road” that guides you to the glass-framed wish room filled with toys and children’s furniture. The design also allowed for the office to double as gathering space for charitable events.
This project punchwalk is likely our most memorable without a dry eye on site. When a wish comes true, it creates strength, hope and transformation in a child - and a community. It was an honor to create a new home for Make-A-Wish and become part of that supportive community.
