Pacifica Christian High School wanted a major face-lift for its Newport Beach campus, including a complete renovation of the 22,603 SF school. The historic building, originally constructed in 1955, would require a seismic retrofit with all new site work throughout the property, lead removal, complex permitting and constant communications.
From start to finish, the Casco team worked closely with Pacifica Christian to ensure the ambitious project went smoothly. Near the start of the project, we oversaw chemical abatement to remove any lead from the school’s many columns. We administered all permitting, the abatement itself and retesting after the process. Throughout the project we worked to ensure all historic elements were undamaged, coordinated closely with inspectors and city officials, and offered frequent recommendations for making the 14-month build run as smoothly as possible.
