Do you consider yourself a good active listener?
Recently, Casco's senior leadership team participated in a Free Listening workshop led by Benjamin Mathes of Urban Confessional. After a short introduction, they took to the streets of Laguna in pairs holding handwritten signs that simply said "Free Listening."
For more than an hour they welcomed strangers to share stories, thoughts, fears and triumphs, without judgement and withholding advice. It was challenging, educational, and a bit intimidating. It showcased the importance of vulnerability in listening to each other.
Each of us can become a better listener for our clients, colleagues, family and friends. The day was a welcome reminder of the power of simply listening. You never know what you might hear.
