At Casco Contractors, some of our most rewarding work comes from helping clients unlock the potential of existing buildings. project reimagined a 13,000+ SF property into a welcoming headquarters and training facility designed to support collaboration, education, and large-scale gatherings for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 440 in Riverside, CA.

A Space Built for “Brotherhood”

The client set out to create a central hub where union members, known as “the Brotherhood”, could gather for training, shared meals, meetings, and events. The goal was to deliver a space that balances professional office functionality with flexible areas capable of supporting both day-to-day operations and larger weekly gatherings.

Front-of-House: Office and Collaboration Spaces

The front-of-house office establishes a professional first impression while supporting daily administrative needs. A large conference room anchors the space, highlighted by a custom octagonal boardroom table designed for their board. Nearby, a breakroom with built-in banquette seating offers an inviting space for informal meetings and breaks.

Flexible Gathering and Training Areas

The rear warehouse was transformed into the heart of the facility: a multi-use space designed to host meetings, events, and training programs. A full kitchen, dining hall, and dedicated training area give the space real versatility, while new exterior improvements including a roll-up door and additional rear building exits make the building better equipped to host large groups and special events.

A Facility Built for the Future

Projects like this one are a great example of what Casco does best — taking an existing building and unlocking its full potential. Every element of the space was intentional, built around the way the Brotherhood works together.

In keeping with IBEW's values, this project was delivered by an all-union subcontractor team, a commitment that made the finished product all the more meaningful for the client. We're proud to have delivered a space the Brotherhood calls home, and we look forward to seeing it serve the union chapter for years to come.
