Figueroa, Casco Contractors revamped the first floor alongside project partners HLW and Project Management Advisors (PMA), with sleek, high-end finishes and striking design features that make every first impression a lasting one.

Dramatic Design Features

Design takes center stage at 888 S. Figueroa. A custom fluted glass mural wall creates a striking focal point in the elevator lobby, with dramatic centerpiece light fixtures that bring elegance and warmth. Wood slat acoustic ceilings in both the café and elevator lobbies provide a sleek modern finish that also reduces ambient noise. Every detail was chosen to elevate the aesthetic while ensuring the space feels welcoming and functional.

A Modern Café Experience

The new café space was created to be an amenity and gathering space that enhances the overall ground-floor experience. Featuring premium appliances, bespoke millwork, and built-in seating, the café is tailored to meet the needs of both tenants and visitors.

Smart Logistics in an Active Tower

Renovating the ground floor of an active Class A tower meant that tenant access and daily operations could not be interrupted. Casco implemented a phased schedule and detailed logistics strategy to keep the lobby open and accessible at all times. Noise, dust, and traffic were carefully managed to minimize disruption, ensuring that tenants and visitors experienced as little impact as possible during the transformation.

Complex Procurement, Seamlessly Managed

One of the project’s most challenging aspects was sourcing and installing large-format tiles imported from overseas. The procurement process required extensive coordination to navigate shipping schedules and lead times, while the installation itself posed unique challenges since the tiles were laid over existing flooring. Casco’s team worked closely with trade partners to ensure precision and quality, delivering a flawless finish that elevates the entire ground floor.

The final results are a perfect combination of statement design features, modern amenities, and seamless execution.
